Indy Moto GP

Dani Pedrosa's Honda gathered in the win at Indy! Ben Spies came in second on the Tech3 Yamaha! An excellent finish for Spies in his first year running the premier Moto GP series with Bridgestone motorcycle tires. After an excellent year in World Superbike he is doing well and moving up! Lorenzo finished third filling the rest of the podium with his Fiat Yamaha.

Brno marks the last race before Indy!

The Moto GP series ran hard last weekend with the Czech Republic Grand Prix in Brno! The fastest bikes in the world with Lorenzo finishing first on his Fiat Yamaha! The second place finish went to Dani Pedrosa, third Casey Stoner, and Ben Spies was following with a fourth place finish. The race was a windy event giving the riders even more to fight than just each other! The race is run and it was a real nail biter!

It looks like the Yamaha's are starting to come around with a Superbike win at Road America! Josh Hayes brought the Grave's R1 to the front of the field with a race win Saturday! Sunday was the Yoshimura Suzuki with Tommy Hayden at the helm. Hayes grabbed second and Jake Zemke got the number three spot on his Jordan GSXR 1000. The racing was good and tight with a lot of action at the front of the pack! Tommy Hayden is currently in the points lead but only by one point! Hayes is in second and keeping it real! Mototiresonline is happy to have the AMA come so close to home.

AMA is getting started! Motorcycle tires are heating up!

With both Matt Mladin and Ben Spies off the grid for 2010 who will become the new champion? Will it be the new Suzuki rider Jake Zemke? Josh Hayes on the Graves Yamaha R1? A lot has changed in the AMA as well this season. The new bike in the field the BMW S1000RR posted 11th on Sunday at Fontana showing well for such a new combination. While it is a long way to a championship race bred machine I would be surprised if it did not see a podium or top 5 this year at some point. John Hopkins is back stateside having made the switch from Bridgestone shod Moto GP bikes back to his GSXR and is adjusting well to the horsepower changes. Hopkins place 5th with the M4 Monster Energy Suzuki. There is also the Hayden name with Tommy winning the race on a Rockstart Makita GSXR. Tom has been racing in the AMA with Kawasaki and its good to see him running at the front.

The Moto Gp series is getting ready to kick into gear with the first race of the season set for April 11 at Qatar. It should be a very interesting season this year with some new rules changes enstated and few new riders joining the ranks of the Moto GP contenders. New riders are being forced into satellite teams due to the new rules so keep an eye on the non factory entrants for the future. A one bike per rider and 6 engine per season rule will surely make things interesting as well further placing emphasis on reliability and mechanics skills this year. BMW has a new rocket!

The new S1000R slated to come out of the Bavarian Motor Works this year is one smoking ride! It is rated as one of the highest output literbikes on the market today. Straight from the factory the BMW is host to a plethora of race track improvements that help come together to bring the new Beemer to track day weapon of mass destruction status.
